California K-12 High Speed Network
The San Diego County Office of Educations fills a substantial role as the host site for the California K-12 High Speed Network (K12HSN). Operating as a local node site over more than 10 years, 38 districts in San Diego County receive free Internet through the SDCOE 10 Gb/sec connection to the K12HSN. The K12HSN serves a statewide consortium of school districts and non-profit charters schools, providing free Internet access and resources for learning applications and video conferencing. Membership in the consortium is open to all K-12 agencies. Further information regarding participation in the K12HSN can be located at http://www.k12hsn.org/network.
