Legal Services

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Legal Services Unit assists districts with policies and procedures, including compliance with the Brown Act and parliamentary procedures, governing board member elections, and legal requirements for filling governing board vacancies. This office also provides information and coordinates activities related to school district organization. In addition, the Legal Services Unit is responsible for the development and revision of County Board of Education bylaws and policies and SDCOE administrative regulations.
