How to Register Documents

The Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) does not print or mail a physical document to credential or permit holders. If you need a physical copy of your credential or permit, you will need to print a copy from the CTC website. Print the copy that includes the document number, effective dates, and authorization codes.

Contact the Human Resources office in the district where you are employed to verify if your credential has been downloaded to SDCOE from a university recommendation, an induction recommendation, application packet that had been submitted to the CTC and/or CTC online renewal.

If you need to register your credential with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE), contact or come to either of our two locations. Using your social security number and date of birth, a credential technician will locate your credential at the CTC website and then record it in the SDCOE database. DO NOT send you personal information over email, please call or come in to our office.
