The purpose of the Peer Assistance and Review Program (Assembly Bill ABX1) is to provide assistance to permanent teachers who have received an unsatisfactory rating in areas of teaching methods or instruction. PAR provides this assistance through Consulting Teachers who make reports to a PAR Council made up of fellow teachers and administrators. The PAR Council makes a final report of the outcomes achieved by the referred participating teacher or volunteer participating teacher to the SDCOE Superintendent of Schools.
