The Mathematics Unit provides direct services to districts; collaborates with projects and interagencies; disseminates materials and resources to support K-12 mathematics literacy; and supports student achievement through district, region and state professional development programs. These activities provide the ongoing training in methodology, curriculum, technology and assessment that teachers need to provide San Diego County students with a quality mathematics education.
Students benefit from County Office guidance and facilitation of mathematics field days and community events. The Mathematics Unit provides leadership and service to the 41 districts in all areas of K-12 mathematics education.
