 27 Educators Recognized at "Honoring Our Own" Awards Dinner

​​The Association of California School Administrators and San Diego County School Boards Association recently celebrated 27 San Diego County educators, at an Evening of the Stars, “Honoring Our Own” Awards Dinner.

The awards ceremony, held at the Sheraton San Diego Resort and Marina, dedicated the evening to former Poway Unified Superintendent, Don Phillips, Ed.D. The special recognition was dedicated to Don for his valuable leadership in public education and for children.

Among the honorees of the evening, Superintendent of the Year, Lou Obermeyer, Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District, Principal of Year, Gary Wilson, San Pasqual Union School District and Rookie Board Member of Year, Mark Anderson, San Diego County School Board Member.
