The San Diego County Office of Education is one of the sponsors of the 2014 International Bullying Prevention Association annual conference, which will be held in San Diego November 16-18, 2014.
This event will bring together 800 professionals from schools (pre-k through post-secondary) and community organizations interested in stopping bullying. The conference is designed for school counselors, health educators, researchers, coaches, lawyers, school administrators, social workers, community agency staff, school psychologists, law enforcement personnel, mental health providers, restorative justice personnel, athletic directors, and others working with youth.
The conference theme, Building Supportive Relationships to Create a Positive School Climate, speaks directly to the purpose of this important event; to be strengthened with new knowledge, research and practices which will inspire, invigorate, challenge and renew our efforts to stop bullying and foster compassion. Outstanding national leaders will provide research, strategies and solutions for schools and communities in bullying prevention and intervention throughout this event.
Rosalind Wiseman and Dr. Jeff Duncan-Andrade are confirmed as this year’s keynote presenters. Both bring to the conference a wealth of experience and inspiration that attendees will benefit greatly from.
