San Diego County Office of Education is hosting four online mixers over the next several weeks to encourage people to learn more about a new master's program the office is offering in partnership with San Diego State University.
The degree in educational leadership with a technology concentration was designed for school administrators and teachers who aspire to a leadership role in educational technology with their school, district or county office of education.
The information sessions are being planned for the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at 4 pm
- Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 at 4 pm
- Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 5 pm
- Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 5 pm

Sessions will include information about the curriculum, student projects and potential careers. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with professors in the program and learn about the application process and financial aid. Program advisers will be online to answer questions.
Registration is open through April for the 18-month, WASC-accredited program. The first cohort will begin in May.
The program has been in the works for nearly two years. It will be taught by SDSU professors and SDCOE personnel and include information about educational leadership, social media, data analysis, mobile app development, and communication.
The total cost for the 30-unit program is $15,270. More information and application instructions are available on the SDSU website.
