A San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) employee will
be honored in March with a State Leadership Award from the National Association
of Federal Education Program Administrators.
Nancy Sedgwick—SDCOE’s assessment, accountability, and
evaluation coordinator—is one of only five administrators in California to receive
the award this year from the association, also known as NAFEPA.
She said the recognition is an honor, one that she’s happy
to share with her coworkers.
“I think it’s something that the increased visibility that I
have here has allowed more people to know about what we’re doing,” she said. “We’ve
got such a great team here.”
The honorees will be recognized at the NAFEPA Conference
March 22-25 in Washington, D.C.
NAFEPA is a support organization for educators who work with
federally funded programs in their local educational organizations. The
nonprofit group was formed in 1973 and has more than 4,000 members.
