Encinitas Union School District received a nationwide honor
this week when the Partnership for 21st Century Learning announced the district would be
one of four 2016-17 21st Century Learning Exemplars.
Designed to identify learning environments where students
obtain an authentic 21st-century learning experience, the nationwide Exemplar Program,
offers the opportunity for innovative practices found locally to be showcased
at a national level.
The partnership, also known as P21, recognizes that all
learners need educational experiences in school and beyond, from cradle to
career, to build knowledge and skills for success in a globally and digitally
interconnected world. Representing more than 5 million members of the global
workforce and over 2 million U.S. students in K-12, P21 unites business,
government, and education leaders from the U.S. and abroad to advance
evidence-based education policy and practice and to make innovative teaching
and learning a reality for all.
