Provides academic and demographic profiles
for every school in California. One particularly handy feature permits
users to type in their address and receive a listing of public schools in
the immediate vicinity.
Ed-Data
The Ed-Data Web site provides free, useful and well-organized school and
district profiles.
Academic Performance Index (API)
The Academic Performance Index (API) measures student achievement in California schools. API results range from 200 to 1000. The higher the API, the higher overall student performance. The API is computed from results on the state tests.
School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs)
Each school in California is required to produce a school accountability
report card on an annual basis. SARCs provide
detailed information about the school's test scores, demographics,
staffing, and budgets.
