The San Diego County Office of Education Student Support Services Department provides a variety of direct and general services to districts within San Diego County. Services include, but are not limited to, staff development, extension training and technical assistance to ensure compliance with the Education Code and Federal law. Services are provided to all 42 school districts within San Diego County, and a menu of direct services are provided to direct service school districts and to SDCOE’s Juvenile Court and Community Schools. This is accomplished through Student Support Services administration and five units that function within the department. These five units are:

The mission of the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) Student Support Services department is to enhance student success and achievement and support school communities to improve school climate, safety, attendance, behavior, student health and well-being through high-quality professional development, technical assistance, targeted services, and the dissemination of current and relevant research-based information and resources.
