For infant/toddler and preschool teachers, and family child care providers: Build the capacity of staff to provide parent education workshops.

TOT Positive Discipline (Feb. 2 and 9)

In this workshop, participants will gain understanding of the positive discipline approach; receive a step-by-step approach to starting and leading experiential-based parenting groups; and leave ready to facilitate a three-week class full of parenting tools that foster respectful, confident children. By successfully completing this training, participants will become certified positive discipline trainers.

Participants will receive training and all training materials needed to provide families tools and resources to parent effectively.

TOT Positive Solutions for Families (Jan. 9)

Participants will receive training and all training materials needed to provide families with a deeper understanding of social-emotional development for young children. The goal of this training is for parents to: discuss the importance of social and emotional development for young children; learn how to promote children's social and emotional development; identify the importance of building positive relationships with children; learn positive approaches and techniques to help increase their child's social and emotional skills. At the end of each workshop, parents will receive Things to Try at Home activities.
