Information Sharing and the Global Oversight Analysis Linking Systems (G.O.A.L.S) MOU
The GOALS MOU process began in the East Region of San Diego County, as this community has been hard at work for many years building collaborative relationships among agencies in order to improve the health, safety, and well-being of its citizens. Many students today find themselves involved with mental health, law enforcement, juvenile justice, child welfare, and other providers trying to assist them and their families. The GOALS Profile, as the process is called, offers a model for a strategic information sharing system that ultimately reduces systematic barriers to serve needs of families. Through relevant data collection and examination of trends across systems, the GOALS Profile provides children and families a comprehensive safety support system by reducing systemic barriers, focusing on a common goal and promoting systems change.
