The Student Attendance, Safety, and Well-Being unit provide training, technical assistance, and direct services to assist school districts in developing and supporting their Comprehensive School Safety Plans. These plans utilize of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), Incident Command System (ICS), and emphasize the development of strategies to prevent, mitigate, prepare, and respond to and recover from crises that have the potential to impact schools.
