Services Provided: Child is provided with a minimum of 2 hours a week of tutoring. Commitment is one full school year. Tutoring may be 1:1 or small groups depending on need. Pazazz also hosts many auxiliary activities: Saturday programs, evening events, etc. For every hour of tutoring: 15 minutes is spent on remediation (going over whatever the child is behind in) and 45 minutes is spent on the child’s current grade level work (that way the child stays on top of current expectations and does not get further behind).

Services Provided: Rolling Readers volunteers provide weekly read aloud sessions to children in Southern California elementary schools, Head Start centers, libraries, and other community sites.

Services Provided: At school, library or supervised at home tutoring in math, reading or writing, for children from ages 6 through 21. Child must be in a SAY program to access these services (either a 6-6, Healthy Start or receiving therapy at SAY). The service referral for tutoring comes from the SAY case manager.
