Welcome to Davila Day School
Davila Day School’s mission is to provide Deaf and Hard of Hearing students a learning environment that is culturally inclusive, fully accessible, and values the development of both spoken and signed languages. Davila Day School's setting is designed to nurture students' academic and social-emotional growth, while also providing access to the general education curriculum and standards. Our staff strive to promote a sense of belonging while celebrating the uniqueness of each student.
Davila Day School has an on-site audiologist and speech therapist who specialize in habilitation of students who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Each of our students has been identified as requiring an Individualized Education Program through a collaborative effort on the part of parents, local district representatives and SDCOE staff.
As a special education school located in Chula Vista, we are operated by the South County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) in affiliation with the San Diego County Office of Education. We serve preschool through eighth-grade students from school districts throughout San Diego County.
