Celebrating a Year of Growth Reflects Commitment to Teacher Development

Celebrating a Year of Growth was a showcase event that highlighted SDCOE and JCCS’s investment in instructional coaching as a foundational strategy to build educator capacity, strengthen relationships, and support continuous professional growth. 

Throughout the year, JCCS's instructional coaches (CI&A team) provided structured coaching cycles and collaborative learning opportunities for our new and probationary teachers at Monarch School and Youth Transition Campus, who were supported in developing reflective, student-centered instructional practices. 

During the celebration, each educator shared their proudest moments and reflections from the year long coaching experience. 

This work advances SDCOE’s strategic priorities by fostering a culture of trust, inclusivity, and collaboration that strengthens belonging across JCCS, while also promoting a collective responsibility for improving student outcomes through transformational teaching and learning experiences. By centering relationships and growth, the initiative has created sustainable conditions for both educator development and enhanced student success.
