Nominations Open for 2026 Honoring Our Own Awards Celebration

The San Diego County School Boards Association (SDCSBA) and the Association of California School Administrators Region 18 are pleased to bring you the 24th Annual “Honoring Our Own” Awards Gala.

The 2026 Honoring Our Own Awards Gala is scheduled for April 25, 2026. We are excited to announce that this year’s event will once again be hosted at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. We are counting on our Board Members and Superintendents to nominate deserving education champions for the following award categories:

"We expect many educational leaders and friends of the educational community to attend our recognition event on behalf of our awardees, said Cipriano Vargas, president of SDCSBA. "Please join us for this wonderful occasion to celebrate the accomplishments that make our work so rewarding!"

Nominate a deserving education champion for one of the following award categories:

★ School Site Employee
★ District Office Staff Member
★ Executive Assistant
★ Community Partner
★ Parent Volunteer
★ 1st Term School Board Member
★ School Board Member

This packet includes instructions for submitting a nomination(s) and the criteria for each award category. Nominations are due no later than Jan. 16, 2026.
