Register Today for the County Spelling Bee

Register Today for the County Spelling Bee

Hosting a campus spelling bee is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of curiosity, courage, and academic excellence.

Register your school for the San Diego County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee and begin planning your school-level event. This is your chance to inspire students to step outside their comfort zones, discover new strengths, and shine in front of their peers.

Registration is open through Dec. 31.

Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades who win their school bee will advance to the regional competition on March 5 at the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA. Schools with a combined 6-8 enrollment of at least 30 students are eligible. The regional champion will earn the once in a lifetime experience of representing San Diego County at the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Visit the SDCOE Spelling Bee webpage for everything you need to get started, including the rules and social media templates to help you share about your school bee.
