Explore Career Opportunities in Education at April 26 Job Fair

School districts and charter schools across the county are hiring for a variety of teaching and non-teaching positions, and the upcoming Careers in Education Job Fair on April 26 will help connect local job seekers to quality opportunities.

"This job fair is a great opportunity for anyone considering a career in education to connect with districts and charters who are actively hiring," said Calipso Barrera Gomez, a project specialist with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE). 

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with representatives who can guide them on their journey to a career in education. They can also get advice on financial planning, investments, and other supports.

The job fair is organized by SDCOE in partnership with Point Loma Nazarene University and will occur in two segments from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Liberty Station Conference Center in San Diego. Register by selecting your preferred time:

• 8:30 to 10 a.m.
• 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Dress professionally and bring copies of your resume and letters of recommendation. Some districts may interview on the spot, while others will collect your resume in anticipation of an opening within the district.

Organizations are looking to fill various positions, including teachers and substitute teachers, as well as non-teaching positions such as after-school program staff, bus drivers, campus supervisors, child nutrition assistants, food service professionals, health clerks, instructional aides and assistants, maintenance workers, noon duty supervisors, and nurses.
