Families Eligible for Discounted Home Internet Program
The California Department of Education and Civic Nation have launched Online for All, a digital equity campaign working to close the digital divide by focusing on internet access, affordability, and equity for students and families.
Online for All promotes the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which provides a monthly discount of up to $30 off home internet to qualifying families of prekindergarten to adult students.
Having fast internet helps students and families access important information so they can thrive in school and in life. ACP is a federally funded program that offers a stipend of up to $30 monthly toward high-speed home internet for qualifying households. Some families may also qualify for a one-time discount of up to $100 for a computer or tablet. Visit the ACP website to see if you qualify!
Schools and educators are encouraged to join the Online for All campaign to get the tools and resources they need to educate families about this opportunity and keep students connected over the summer and the next school year.
