The U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued pandemic flexibilities for districts and schools through June of 2023 to support safe school reopenings and healthy, nutritious meals.
Through the 2022-23 school year, districts and schools will be able to continue with special meal flexibilities and waivers to accommodate student meals determined by the learning models being implemented for each district. Parents can visit their school district's webpage to learn more about the feeding plan for their children's school.
To ensure that parents remain aware of all available food distribution sites for children, we are providing links below to ongoing feeding sites operated by Feeding San Diego, the San Diego Food Bank, and 2-1-1 San Diego, and information about the Pandemic EBT program.
