Miranda Mann Supports Employees, Job Applicants, and School Districts as Human Resources Technician
Miranda Mann never fails to complete her work and go the extra mile to take on additional tasks and duties as a human resources technician at SDCOE. She’s also known for being kind, patient, and reliable.
“In her years at the county office, she has absorbed gradually increasing responsibilities and is now the go-to for many employees, both within the department and in a number of divisions,” said Kristen Caldwell, Human Resource Services, who nominated Mann for the 2023 SDCOE Classified School Employee of the Year recognition. “She bears incredible responsibility on her shoulders, and never bats an eye.”
In her current role, Mann is responsible for processing personnel transactions, auditing, data processing, and employee onboarding. Additionally, she provides information to employees, job applicants, school districts, and the general public regarding personnel-related functions and human resources policies and procedures.
Mann values learning and is currently working on a thesis for a master’s degree in human resources management. Because of her kind demeanor and work ethic, Mann is a role model for others in the department.
“Her humble nature makes her incredibly easy to work and collaborate with,” Caldwell said. “Colleagues know they can go to her for support and assistance whenever needed.”
