Getting to Know SDCOE: Sandra Walden
Sandra Walden has a reputation for being eager, prompt, organized, and thoughtful.
As an administrative assistant at the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE), she uses her knowledge and skills to help the Educational Technology and Organizational Excellence teams achieve their goals. This includes coordinating logistics for events and creating materials that connect students with career opportunities.
“Ms. Walden is incredibly committed to SDCOE and is a highly regarded leader among classified staff and across the organization,” said Dr. Alicia Gallegos Butters, who works with her. “She has extreme talent in both hard and soft skills that are not as easily measured.”
Walden is a lifelong learner who often participates in professional learning opportunities related to technical skills, procedures, and wellness.
“Her work and attitude are exemplary, and she encapsulates the energy, passion, and work ethic that are so crucial to SDCOE’s culture,” said Carrie Lane, educational technology project specialist.
