The safety of students and school staff is of the utmost importance to San Diego County school districts.
Due to power outages, schools in the following districts will be closed Jan. 10:
- Julian Union Elementary School District
- Julian Union High School District
- Mountain Empire Unified School District
- Warner Unified School District

Twenty-six exemplary students from across San Diego sharing a whopping $83,000 in 2024 Don Diego scholarships emanate from diverse backgrounds, possess an array of talents, and are eager to embark upon new horizons in their educations and careers.

San Diego SOAR Academy at the Youth Transition Campus received an honorable mention from the California Department of Education’s Civic Learning Awards program, which honors and recognizes measurable schoolwide achievements in civics.

SDCOE's Linda Vista Innovation Center received a $20,000 sponsorship from the American Public Works Association San Diego and Imperial Counties Chapter to support hands-on career exploration and inspire students to pursue careers in public works.
