The safety of students and school staff is of the utmost importance to San Diego County school districts.
Due to power outages, schools in the following districts will be closed Jan. 9:
- Julian Union Elementary School District
- Julian Union High School District
- Mountain Empire Unified School District
- Warner Unified School District
Sullivan Middle School and Bonsall High School in Bonsall Unified School District and Pauma Elementary School in Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District are also closed Jan. 9, 2025.

On May 17, the Solana Beach School District and the Solana Beach Schools Foundation proudly co-hosted Discovery Fest 2025 at Solana Pacific School. This year’s theme, “Wild Robot Meets Nature’s Wonders,” brought together over 700 students, families, educators, and community members for a fun-filled day celebrating innovation, curiosity, and the natural world.

The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE)'s Migrant Education department hosted an engaging 2025 Regional Parent Conference at Palomar College last month.

Twenty-six exemplary students from across San Diego sharing a whopping $83,000 in 2024 Don Diego scholarships emanate from diverse backgrounds, possess an array of talents, and are eager to embark upon new horizons in their educations and careers.
