Live Scan Fingerprinting Now Available in South County
The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is now offering Live Scan fingerprinting services at the South County Regional Education Center (SCREC) in National City, providing easier access for South County residents.
Fingerprinting is available by appointment from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. SCREC is located at 800 National City Blvd, with free parking available nearby.
“We are excited to bring this service to South County so people who live there do not need to travel up to our Linda Vista site,” said Casey Choate, manager, Credential and Livescan Services. “We have many people, not just educators, who have to find a way to get up to Linda Vista, so now that we have new equipment that could travel, we thought this would be a great resource for the community”.
While currently only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, SDCOE plans to evaluate the demand as word gets out and then may add additional days.
Learn more about requirements, costs, locations, and make an appointment on SDCOE’s fingerprinting webpage.
