Opportunities for Educators at Comic-Con

Opportunities for Educators at Comic-Con
San Diego County teachers at Comic-Con in 2024.

Superheroes and super opportunities for teachers and educators fly into town for Comic-Con July 23-26. But don’t worry if you don’t have a badge, there are plenty of opportunities outside the event and year-round that support authentic and engaging teaching and learning.

Badge Ready?

If you have a badge, there are tons of great panels focused on education, science and technology, equity and representation, and so much more in the Comic-Con schedule. SDCOE staff members are participating in the panel discussions noted below.

  • Hollywood Myopia, Saturday, July 25, 5 to 6 p.m., San Diego Convention Center Room 29AB

No Badge? No Problem!

The Comic-Con Conference for Educators and Librarians takes place at the San Diego Central Library, with official Comic-Con panels that are also open to teachers who don’t have a badge. This free, five-day conference will explore the role comics play in promoting education and literacy for all ages. Check out the line up and register here to attend these free panels. All events are held in the Shiley Special Events Suite at the San Diego Central Library.
