San Diego Spelling Bee Champ to Host Free Workshop for Students Jan. 20

Two-time San Diego County Regional Spelling Bee Champion Mihir Konkapaka is hosting a free workshop for students who are preparing for their school spelling bee and the regional spelling bee. The workshop, designed for students in grades 4 through 8, will take place Tuesday, Jan. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the San Diego County Office of Education’s Linda Vista campus in room 401.

Students will learn about word etymology, common language patterns, and how to read and interpret diacritical marks to improve spelling skills.
