San Pasqual High School Students and Staff Inspired by Country Artist Steven Cade
San Pasqual High School was alive with music as Nashville-based, award-winning country singer/songwriter Steven Cade delivered a memorable mini-concert for students, staff, and special guests. Cade, through his non-profit Giving Guitars Foundation, donated five brand new guitars to the school’s music program, aiming to inspire young musicians and expand access to the arts.
The intimate concert was attended by a room full of enthusiastic guitar students who listened closely as Cade performed a selection of his songs and shared his passion for music and giving back. Following the performance, Cade personally presented the guitars to San Pasqual High school Principal Cory Gregory and Escondido Union High School District Superintendent Jon Petersen and even autographed one of the instruments. Also in attendance were Escondido Mayor Dane White and City Councilmember Joe Garcia, showing support for arts in education. After the concert students had the opportunity to ask questions and get Steven Cade’s autograph.
Steven Cade is a modern country artist who was awarded Modern Country Artist of the Year at the Grand Ole Opry and has been considered for over 15 Grammy nominations. He has shared the stage with stars like Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and Darius Rucker.
“We are grateful to Steven Cade and the Giving Guitars Foundation for this donation,” said Principal Cory Gregory. “This experience was not only exciting for students, but it also reminded them that music can be a lifelong passion and source of connection. These guitars will be a lasting gift that supports our music program.”
San Pasqual High School is honored to be selected for the donation and mini concert. For more information about the Giving Guitars Foundation, visit www.givingguitars.org.
