SDCCU Classroom Heroes Program Returns for the 2026-27 School Year
Know a superstar teacher and want to recognize them for their work? Community members can nominate a deserving educator through the San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU) Classroom Heroes program.
From September 2026 through May 2027, SDCCU will honor one local San Diego County teacher each month as a “SDCCU Classroom Hero,” provide them with a $500 Visa gift card, Classroom Hero award, and feature their accomplishments on CBS 8. One lucky Classroom Hero will also win the grand prize: a five day, four night, luxury staycation at Kona Kai Resort that includes a spa treatment for two, a day bed at the pool, and more than $600 in restaurant credits.
Teachers, students, parents, and the community are encouraged to nominate a deserving teacher by visiting sdccu.com/classroomheroes.

Fifteen students from 37ECB, South County Community School, and Monarch School participated in the San Diego County Office of Education's Culinary Pre-Apprenticeship Camp, a two-week program that provides hands-on cooking experiences, field trips, and opportunities to explore careers in the industry.
