SDCOE Expanded Learning Solicits Interest for ASES Universal Funding
The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) is notifying the community that limited funding is available for the ASES (After School Education and Safety) Universal program.
The ASES Universal application may be submitted for new applicants to the San Diego Expanded Learning Consortium, current ASES grantees requesting to fund new sites, and current ASES grantees requesting an increase in current funding to the legislative cap.
The purpose of the ASES program is to create incentives for establishing locally-driven Expanded Learning Programs, including after school programs that partner with public schools and communities to provide academic and literacy support and safe, constructive alternatives for youth.
Districts and charter schools interested in participating in the SDCOE Consortium application may contact Dr. Lisa Johnson Davis at lisa.davis@sdcoe.net or 858-298-2096 no later than Friday, Dec. 13, 2024.

Opening this 2026-27 school year, the South County SELPA Academy special education program provides highly individualized instruction, therapeutic and trauma-informed support, and a nurturing environment for students in grades TK through 6th in the South County.
