Students Can Explore Career Options at Army Event
Local students can learn all about career opportunities through the U.S. Army as part of the Meet Your Army Career Fair on Sept. 19.
The event will feature about 100 of the jobs the Army offers through it’s nine career pathways, along with hands-on activities, and an education seminar. Possible careers include information technology, medical, law enforcement, aviation, mechanics, and logistics.
The event is at the Van Deman Reserve Center, 2400 Admiral Baker Road in San Diego. Reimbursement from the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) may be available for schools and districts that transport students to the event. Email Al Love from SDCOE’s College and Career Readiness team or call 858-298-2130 for more information.
The same session will be offered twice on Sept. 19, the first from 9 a.m. to noon, and the second from noon to 3 p.m. The seminar for educators, administrators, and school counselors will be at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
