Administrative Services
SDCOE provides a variety of administrative services for the school districts, charter schools, and community college districts in the county. These include providing financial oversight for school districts, developing countywide technology initiatives, supporting teachers and administrators as they earn and register credentials, working with school and media personnel to help get the word out about what’s happening in schools, creating print materials and videos for schools, processing paychecks for school employees, providing internet connectivity to school districts, and more.
Business Services
The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) provides business services and assistance to the 42 school districts of San Diego County in the areas of budget development and monitoring, accounting, retirement reporting, payroll processing, and more.
Communications
SDCOE works regularly with school and media personnel to help get the word out about what’s happening in schools throughout the county. Internally, SDCOE produces a variety of publications and documents to keep the more than 1,000 people working for the County Office of Education informed.

Grant Services
SDCOE's Grant Services team provides support to all divisions within our organization as well as to districts and charter schools across the county. Internally, we offer proven leadership in grant procurement, customized support in the development of grant proposals, and targeted guidance to ensure success during the post-award phase. For county school districts and charter schools, the team develops and curates resources, and provides professional learning on effective grant development and management.

Legal Services
SDCOE assists districts with policies and procedures, including compliance with the Brown Act and parliamentary procedures, governing board member elections, and legal requirements for filling governing board vacancies. This office also provides information and coordinates activities related to school district organization.
Media and Creative Services
Here’s where the magic happens: It’s where your print work gets designed and produced and your video ideas come to life. SDCOE staff work with you on a variety of graphic productions services, as well as conceptualize your video goals from web streaming to shooting on-location or in one of our studios.
Technology Services
SDCOE assists those who lead, manage, and use technology to shape strategic decisions at every level within K-12 education. We actively engage with superintendents, chief technology officers, technology directors, and technology teacher leaders to further the mission of transforming technology's role in learning and achievement.
