JPA: Workers' Compensation
The Workers' Compensation Program provides statutory benefits for members, employees in compliance with Labor and Education Codes. This program also provides members with an Employee Assistance Program (EASE), Pre-Placement Physical Exams, Pre-Placement Drug Screening, Health Improvement (Wellness), and Department of Transportation compliance. In addition, loss prevention/control services are funded and made available to members via JPA staff and contract vendors.

The purpose of this program is to identify any diseases and functional limitations of employees and candidates for employment. This facilitates assignment to work which is compatible with an individual's physical and emotional status.
