Annual Meeting

The County Board of Education shall hold an annual organizational meeting each year. This meeting shall be held on or after the first Monday after January 1 of each year. The County Board of Education shall develop a schedule of regular meetings for the upcoming year at a duly noticed County Board meeting in December.

No nominations or selections shall be accomplished until after any newly elected County Board of Education members have taken office. For purposes of this Bylaw, a full term is defined as the calendar year commencing in January.

At this meeting the County Board of Education shall elect a President and a Vice President.

 

President

The President shall be eligible to serve for no more than two consecutive terms.

In the event a member fills the position of President for the remainder of an unexpired term, this member is eligible to serve as President for two full terms.

 

Vice President

The Vice President shall be eligible to serve for no more than two consecutive terms. During the absence of the President, the Vice President shall preside.

In the event a member fills the position of Vice President for the remainder of an unexpired term, this member is eligible to serve as Vice President for two full terms.
