The Charter School office provides technical assistance to charter schools and school districts related to the business operations and fiscal requirements of charter schools.
The unit tracks legislation and interprets rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to charter school business functions as well as organizing key information about the 124 charter schools in San Diego County.

Upcoming California Healthy Youth Act TrainingsThe following training opportunities are offered by SDCOE's Learning and Leadership and Student Support Services departments and are available for charter schools that need more information on the California Healthy Your Act (CHYA) requirements and curriculum design.
Jan. 23: This training is designed to help LEAs create a structure to support CHYA requirements and to help them select/design a curriculum that meets CUYA requirements while best meeting the needs of their community. Feb. 26: Sexual Health Educator (SHE) training helps explain the requirements of CHYA and helps build capacity for those providing instruction.
