Stormwater Construction Permit

The Stormwater Construction permit is required if a construction activity, as defined, disturbs land equal to or greater than one acre, or less than one acre if the land is part of a larger plan of development. Construction activities that essentially maintain existing facilities and do not involve a change in the slope of the land are not required to be covered under the permit. The permit requires districts to prepare and implement a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and to monitor the effectiveness of the plan.

Currently, Facility Planning Services has not provided a support group for this permit. Additional information is available on the State Water Resources Control Board website.

Assistance with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) development and implementation can be found on the EPA's website.
