The annual SDCOE Career Pathways Conference on Sept. 30 is the premier event for educators, counselors, principals, and school administrators looking to connect students to California's high-wage, high-growth jobs.

Marques Mccammon, President of Karma Automotive

Marques will discuss how early exposure to real-world technology and hands-on learning prepares students for future careers and how partnerships between schools and innovative companies build strong talent pipelines.

As a successful career innovator and boundary-pusher, Marques models what it means to chart a bold future. He possesses nearly 30 years of automotive industry experience leading vehicle design and production, brand marketing, and technology advancement, including groundbreaking solutions to electrification, autonomy, and sustainability. He is now the President of Karma Automotive, a luxury electric vehicle company headquartered in Irvine and distinguished by their unique and elegant aesthetic. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan.
