Environmental Literacy
The San Diego County Office of Education offers a variety of events and professional learning opportunities to help educators learn about the California Environmental Principles and Concepts (EPCs), connect the EPCs to all content areas, and use environmental literacy as a tool to bring culturally-relevant instruction to classrooms. Services provided by the County Office include support planning instruction with an environmental literacy lens, identifying local environmental phenomena to use in conjunction with adopted curriculum, and developing the capacity of educators related to environmental literacy.
