The San Diego County Board of Education annually invites current sophomores and juniors who attend San Diego County public schools to apply for one of the county board of education student member positions. Five students are selected, one from each of the five county board districts, to serve for two months on a rotating basis. The application period begins Dec. 1 and closes on Feb. 1.
