Literacy Connections Institute Series

The purpose of this three-institute series is to connect research to practice and leverage bilingual brain research, which has shown that in order for Multilingual learners to excel, they need language development, including oracy, cross-language connections and opportunities for meaning-making. There will be a special emphasis on effective integrated and designated English Language Development practices.

The focus is on targeted K-5 Instruction connecting the Literacy Content Blocks to "try tomorrow" strategies. We will not be addressing the unique needs of P/TK students in this series.
