Project ARISE Literacy Professional Learning Series

Project ARISE Literacy Professional Learning Series

The purpose of this three-institute series is to connect research to practice and leverage bilingual brain research, which has shown that in order for multilingual learners to excel, they need language development, including oracy, cross-language connections and opportunities for meaning-making. There will be a special emphasis on effective integrated and designated English language development practices. Site teams encouraged: Targeted K-5 instruction with a grade-band break out. Limited funding to offset substitute costs.

Each institute is designed to elevate Integrated and Designated English language development instruction.
