Children's Paradise
At Children’s Paradise, we recognize that family engagement extends beyond the center and into the communities where our families live. To support this, we forged a partnership with North County Trade Tech High, a tuition-free charter public school, to develop and implement the Future Educators Academy (FEA). This is a career pathway program that supports students in jumpstarting a career in the field of early childhood education while attending high school. Students enrolled in the Future Educators Academy attend classes in a state-of-the-art learning lab dedicated to child development, designed after actual preschool classrooms at Children’s Paradise!
The students also gain hands-on experience through field trips to our centers; and as they progress through the program, student internships will support their learning with direct experience under the supervision of a lead teacher. This partnership has allowed us to support our community by providing a career pathway in the field of Early Childhood Education, with a framework built upon the quality systems outlined by the San Diego Quality Preschool Initiative (SDQPI).
