Resources for Families

Involved and informed parents are essential in the success of any school program. One of the main focus' of the South County SELPA is to ensure that parents/guardians have access to professional learning opportunities and feel supported. One way that this is achieved is by the support from our Special Education Parent Liaisons.

Special Education Parent Liaison

Special education parent liaisons provide information, resources, and support to families. They have extensive training to help parents and caretakers of students with disabilities. They can assist you in understanding your child’s needs, offer support, and collaborate with you and your school district. If you are interested in these services, click on the link below to complete the google referral form. If you have questions or need support completing the form, you can reach out Parent Liaisons via email, Liliana Armenta larmenta@sdcoe.net and Laura Cervantes lcervantes@sdcoe.net or by calling the main SELPA line, 619-470-5252.
