Our Response to COVID-19:

The SDCOE Credentials Department is still accepting credential application materials while working remotely.

First Time Substitute Permits — Please submit the required materials to our email at sdcred@sdcoe.netClick here for a list of required materials. Official Electronic Transcripts must be sent directly from the university to our email. If your university does not offer electronic transcripts, you may have them send hard copies to our address below.

Teaching and Service Credentials — If currently employed, please submit your application through your district/charter if possible. All employer driven documents (STSP, PIP, GELAP, SELAP, Waivers, etc.) must be submitted through your employer. Otherwise, please submit all materials via US mail to SDCOE, 6401 Linda Vista Road, Credentials Room 104, San Diego, CA 92111. Prior to sending, please click the link(s) below for information and checklists on your specific credential.  

Child Development Permits — Limited Opportunity! The Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC) is accepting permit applications for ALL levels (first-time, upgrades, renewals, including online renewal reimbursement) of the child development permit from now until June 15, 2020. Funding is first come, first served and funding is limited. Select the permit application that is most appropriate. All other 2019-2020 Child Development Permit Stipend Policies and Instructions (attached to each application) still apply. If you have any questions, please send by email to desantoj@yosemite.edu. Applications for all levels need to be postmarked no later than June 15, 2020. Only current 2019/20 Program Year application forms are accepted. If you need to register your credential with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE), call us at 858-292-3581. Using your social security number and date of birth, a credential technician will locate your credential at the CTC website and ​record it in the SDCOE payroll system.
