Digital Citizenship

​​​​Digital Citizenship builds awareness around the power and potential risks associated with students' digital lives. 

​​​The purpose of this course is to equip educators to become school or district leaders in digital citizenship principles. This six-week, online course is a train-the-trainer model. Following the course, educators will be asked to implement a digital citizenship curriculum and training program for their school or district. Course participants will be introduced to high-quality resources from Common Sense Education and PowerSchool Learning, who are official course partners. Topics of this course include online safety, privacy, cyberbullying, information literacy, copyright, and connecting with families. Following the course, participants will meet requirements for Common Sense Education’s Digital Citizenship Certified Educator and School certifications.
