ββThe primary mission of Juvenile Court and Community Schools' (JCCS) Assessment and Accountability department is to coordinate and implement state-mandated testing
programs and collect and analyze student performance data to
inform instructional decision-making and support student achievement.
The unit also prepares annual accountability reports for the San
Diego County Board of Education and the California State Board of
Education.
The Assessment and Accountability unit is actively involved in
ongoing training and capacity building for JCCS teachers,
administrators, and support staff in the area of testing and assessment.
Department staff regularly presents at professional conferences and participates in county and state level workgroups and committees
dealing with Alternative Schools Accountability Model (ASAM) development
and implementation,
and SB-1095 program evaluation. The unit routinely provides
academic and student performance data to instructional and teacher
leaders for program improvement, preparation of grant proposals, and
other reports
