Innovations Academy of Empowerment serves about 120 students from throughout North County in grades 7 through 12 who are referred by local school districts or probation. The school opened in 2014, combining classes that used to be held at four separate locations. By bringing these students together on a larger campus, educators are able to give them a more typical educational experience while still offering them the extra attention they need. The educational program integrates blended learning, classroom instruction and independent study. Elective classes include: robotics, art, horticulture, and career planning.
